In the past 12 months, the road to IP-based production has been cleared with the emergence of agreed standards under the AIMS alliance and projects like the VRT Sandbox’s LiveIP – both of which Nevion has been actively involved in.
The Nevion’s exclusive pre-IBC event examine the progress made in the move to IP and to virtualization, and set out what you can look forward to seeing from Nevion at IBC, including new and updated products.
The pre-IBC event will also feature two special guest-speakers who will share case studies of using IP technology as part of live production:
- The LiveIP’s project leader, Michel De Wolf, sharing the latest development in the IP studio project, in particular Belgium broadcaster VRT’s experience of using the all-IP infrastructure for live production on the children’s channel
- The head of Media Futures at BT Media and Broadcast, John Ellerton, using example case studies from large broadcasters to explain how IP is blurring the distinction between contribution and facilities, and how that will radically change production
The presentations will last about 90 minutes in total, and will be followed by informal drinks and snacks, during which you will be able to network with peers in the industry.
