IP Media Production Workshop

In February 2018, we attended a workshop at national TV in Poland where we discussed key topics about IP media production.

We introduced our IP in the facilities solution approach with case studies of our most recent IP projects, TV2 Norway IP facility and PlazaMedia IP remote production. Furthermore, we discussed IP network design considerations, in particular network topology for IP in the facilities (Spine-leaf) and IP switch fabric management with SDN controller. We concluded looking at current and future developments in standards and specifications: transport of elementary streams (SMPTE 2110), synchronization with PTP (SMPTE 2059) and Networked Media Open Specifications (NMOS) for discovery, registration, connection management and network control.
