The Flashlink ASI-CHO-2×1-PB is an ASI changeover switch that ensures the availability of ASI signals in the transmission chain. The ASI-CHO-2×1-PB continuously monitors the incoming signals for sync loss errors and sync byte errors and switches to the spare signal in case of failure on the main. In addition to detecting the absence of signals, the ASI-CHO-2×1-PB detects empty ASI signals (carrying only stuffing bits) and prevents the signal coming from the failing source to be transmitted.
The inputs are protected with bypass relays that ensure passive loop-thru of both input signals to their respective outputs in case of mains or card failure.
Input and switch monitoring is available through LEDs, GPI and Web interface or SNMP through Multicon GYDA element management system. With its minimal setup requirements, space saving design and best-in class low power consumption, the ASI-CHO-2×1-PB is ideally suited for both fixed installations and field-deployed units.
