Find out about Nevion’s key partners

In June 2019, Nevion formed a strategic partnership with Sony Imaging Products and Solutions (SIPS) – which took a minority stake in the company. After working closely with Nevion for over a year, SIPS made the decision to acquire the remaining shares in Nevion, finalizing the acquisition in October 2020. Nevion remains an independent entity within Sony.

The Sony and Nevion strategic alliance brings together unique capabilities to unlock the potential of IP. Sony is a recognized world leader in broadcast and production solutions, and Nevion is a world leader in real-time IP media networks and virtualization.

Together, Sony and Nevion can help broadcasters to increase competitiveness by increasing production values and efficiencies. Production values can be raised with the help of the best acquisition, production and display products on the market today. Production efficiencies can be increased using workflow-transforming media transport and management solutions.

Nevion and Sony have a very complementary offering, and are experts that can be trusted to transform broadcasters’ production.

Sony and Nevion are focusing primarily on providing together solutions for facilities, remote production and distributed production.  These solutions maximize the benefits of workflow transformation, minimize the risks involved in changing the production infrastructure and minimize the costs

Arista Networks (“Arista”) and Nevion announced a partnership in August 2018 to provide media networks solutions for the broadcasting industry.

Arista and Nevion have developed a joint solution that features a close integration of Nevion’s orchestration and SDN control, VideoIPath, with Arista’s Extensible Operating System (EOS) to control Arista switches. A number of deployments now feature Nevion and Arista technology working together.

Nevion became a Cisco solution partner in September 2017.

Nevion has worked successfully in key major project deliveries in which the switch fabric was supplied by Cisco, and the media edge along with the management and orchestration was handled by Nevion.
