MOXELA is built around modular media functions that can be combined to create high‑quality, low‑latency applications for live video, audio, and data processing across a wide range of production use cases.
The platform is designed from the ground up to be open and interoperable, supporting key industry standards such as “SMPTE ST 2110” and “NDI”, as well as the “MediaExchange Layer (MXL)” for real‑time, in‑memory exchange of uncompressed media and metadata between software applications.
Through tight integration with VideoIPath, MOXELA enables unified control, orchestration, virtualization, and monitoring of media applications and systems, including equipment from Sony and third‑party suppliers, across both on‑prem and cloud environments.
MOXELA is built using cloud‑native principles and supports containerized deployment on COTS servers, private clouds, or public cloud platforms, allowing media organizations to design agile, scalable workflows aligned with modern software development practices and industry initiatives such as the EBU Digital Media Facility (DMF).
