Never has the industry seen so many technology transformations taking place at once. As well as being highly disruptive, these technologies have the potential to radically transform the workflow and the economics of production for the better.
But how do you get it right?
The “Connect Better + Share Better = Broadcast Event” pre-IBC event, organized by Nevion, brings together broadcasters, service providers and industry experts who will share practical tips on how to manage the transformation to new technologies.
Get all the information about using IP in broadcasting that you need to navigate through IBC – from industry standards to network architecture and control – provided by people who actually have real, practical experience of large scale deployments.
The main event takes place between 2pm and 3:30pm, and features presentations about the use of IP in production
Sergio Miguel Raposo Filipe, telecom engineer, Altice Portugal (formerly Portugal Telecom) will describe the nationwide IP contribution network delivered to the Portuguese Football Federation to enable remote video assistant refereeing of every game of the Portuguese Professional Football League from a central location.
Jürgen Konrad, project manager and IT-consultant for Plazamedia, will explain how the German production company was able to migrate the country’s most famous football talk show, “Der Volkswagen Doppelpass”, from traditional OB to IP-based remote production, with a minimum crew on site.
A short update on the TV 2 project to migrate its facilities to IP (first presented at NAB 2017) will also be provided.
… including looking at the importance of management and orchestration in IP media software defined networks
After the presentations, from around 3:30pm until 5pm…
Connect and share with industry peers, Nevion executives and experts, and find out more about how IP is shaping the industry.
Enjoy excellent drinks from the bar and tasty slider food, as you network
Be among the first to get your hands on the 5th edition of Nevion’s thought-leading book, that describes the latest knowledge and considerations to implement IP technology to maximum effect.
