Whitepaper: Reimagining broadcast control

The paper explains that broadcast control must evolve as live production moves from SDI and fixed hardware to IP, software-defined and virtualized infrastructures.

Traditional control systems are often too static for modern workflows, where resources may be shared across studios, data centers, remote locations and cloud environments.

The key requirement is automation: systems should reserve resources, set up signal paths, configure processing, support live operation, then tear everything down after production.

Operators should see only the controls relevant to their role, with interfaces that follow the user rather than being tied to a specific control room.

Bottom line: modern broadcast control is becoming orchestration. It must hide technical complexity while enabling flexible, secure and efficient live production across hybrid infrastructures.
