  • Remote production
  • Contribution and media transport
  • Production control and orchestration
  • Software-defined media operations
  • Integrated ground and cloud production

Product updates

At NAB 2026, visitors will be able to catch up with the latest developments across Nevion’s flagship solutions.

MOXELA – software-based media processing platform

At the NAB Show, Sony and Nevion will be officially previewing for the first time the new software-based media processing platform MOXELA, announced on March 31, 2026. The MOXELA platform is designed for live production and contribution workflows, MOXELA is cloud-native and infrastructure-independent, running on both COTS hardware and cloud environments. It also integrates natively with VideoIPath as part of Sony and Nevion’s Networked Live ecosystem.

Built around modular media functions, MOXELA enables high-quality, low-latency processing for live video, audio and data across a wide range of production use cases. The platform is designed to be open and interoperable, supporting standards such as SMPTE ST 2110, NDI and MXL, while giving media organizations the flexibility to build agile, scalable workflows across on-prem and cloud environments.

Through tight integration with VideoIPath, MOXELA supports unified control, orchestration, virtualization and monitoring of media applications and systems, including Sony and third-party equipment. This helps simplify end-to-end workflows and gives broadcasters and media companies greater freedom to deploy media processing wherever it best fits their operational needs.

Key MOXELA capabilities include:

  • Modular, software-based media processing
  • Open standards and interoperability
  • Unified orchestration with VideoIPath
  • Cloud-native architecture
  • Deployment on COTS, private cloud or public cloud
  • Support for SMPTE ST 2110, NDI and MXL

VideoIPath – media orchestration platform

A major new addition to VideoIPath is Panel Builder, a tool that enables broadcasters and media companies to easily design, configure and manage hardware control panels without the need for physical devices during setup. With drag-and-drop panel design, users can assign actions such as endpoint switching, connect/disconnect commands, profile and parameter settings, and multi-page navigation.

At launch, Panel Builder supports Sony MKS-R4020 and Elgato StreamDeck Studio control panels, with more to follow. It also supports advanced configurations such as stacked panels, enabling multiple hardware panels to operate seamlessly as one.

Because the control logic resides inside VideoIPath rather than in the panel hardware, Panel Builder simplifies deployment and ongoing operations. Users can create layouts offline, replicate them across locations or devices, and replace field panels instantly without re-engineering configurations.
New and upgraded VideoIPath capabilities include:

  • Enhanced broadcast control capabilities
  • New Panel Builder for hardware control panels
  • Enhanced Connect Studio workflow
  • Upgraded UI internationalization
  • New tag dictionary
  • Sony CNA-2 camera control integration
  • Arista MCS integration
  • Riedel intercom integration

Virtuoso – software-defined media node

New and enhanced capabilities in Virtuoso include:

  • HEVC compression with ST 2110 support
  • HEVC low-latency mode
  • HEVC interoperability with Sony NXL-ME80
  • SRT transport
  • Simplified licensing model
  • JPEG XS high frame rate / super-slow-motion camera support

Demonstrations at the booth

Nevion technology will be featured in a series of demonstrations showing how software-defined, orchestrated workflows can support modern live production environments.
