Nevion’s MOXELA steals the show at NAB 2026, winning a TV Tech Best of Show Award

Cloud‑native media processing platform shines in hybrid live production demos featuring SMPTE ST 2110 and MXL workflows

Oslo, Norway, 24 April, 2026Nevion, a Sony Group Company, today announced today announced the successful debut of MOXELA, its next generation, software-based media processing platform, at the NAB Show 2026 in Las Vegas, earning a TV Tech Best of Show Award and being named a finalist for the NAB Show Awards.

Announced shortly before the show, MOXELA played a central role in a software-defined broadcasting demonstration on the Sony booth that highlighted the ability to run hybrid live production across cloud and on-premises environments. The demo combined Sony’s software-only M2L-X switchers with MOXELA handling media transport and processing, and showcased workflows using both SMPTE ST 2110 and Media Exchange Layer (MXL) interfaces.

MOXELA was also featured on the AWS booth, where it demonstrated MXL interoperability with products from other vendors. This showcased the platform’s open, standards-based approach and its ability to fit into multi-vendor live production ecosystems.

Throughout the show, MOXELA attracted significant attention from broadcasters, production companies and technology partners looking to modernize live workflows with scalable software and cloud-native deployment models.

“Receiving the TV Tech Best of Show Award for MOXELA at NAB was a real highlight for our team, and it reflects what we heard again and again on the show floor: broadcasters want the freedom to build live workflows in software, scale them when they need to and run them wherever it makes most sense, from on-premises to the cloud,” said Cezary Cieslewski, Product Manager, MOXELA at Nevion. “MOXELA is built to deliver that flexibility with high-quality, low-latency media processing and an open, standards-based approach.”
