The third in our new series of fireside chats (and final one for 2020) sees Nevion’s Chief Technologist Andy Rayner in conversation with Prin Boon from PHABRIX.
Prin is a highly experienced UK-based broadcast technologist, having worked previously for Dolby and Snell & Wilcox. The exciting evolution of IP media production standards for the data, control and timing planes has created a whole raft of specifications that define interoperability. To ensure systems interoperate, verification of the interfacing is key – both at commissioning and in-service.
In this informal webinar, Andy Rayner and Prin Boon discussed what, when and how to measure the critical elements of SMPTE ST 2110 systems. They also discussed at new and emerging standards, recommended practices, and what still needs to be done in relation to testing and measuring.
